A 9-course signature tasting menu

Zén’s tasting menu speaks of its own individuality while conveying the signature Frantzén culinary philosophy, which is anchored on Chef Björn Frantzén’s creative approach to Nordic, French and Japanese cuisines.

A gastronomic journey through nine courses plus snacks and canapés, the menu marries a combination of Frantzén techniques with the finest seasonal produce. Guests can also look forward to flavours and ingredients unique to the Nordic region that are reimagined the Frantzén way.

Set in a three-storey heritage shophouse on Bukit Pasoh, Restaurant Zén offers an intimate yet relaxed fine dining experience. This sister restaurant to chef-owner Björn Frantzén's Stockholm flagship Restaurant Frantzén quickly picked up two Michelin stars after opening in 2018, and has since retained its three Michelin stars for the second year in a row.

Despite the many accolades it's received, there's no stiff formality here – in fact, don't be surprised to find yourself nodding along to the feel-good playlist, which is curated by Frantzén himself. His view is that there should be "no jazz or piano music – more rock 'n' roll. We want to have fun and we want our guests to have fun even though we are very serious about our food".

Restaurant_Zen's_cuisine

The signature Zén experience revolves around seasonal tasting menus based on chef Frantzen's interpretation of Nordic, French and Japanese cuisine – his take on kaiseki dining. The flavours are balanced and complex; each course creatively conceived and flawlessly paced. The hospitality is exceptional, and carried out with ease, warmth and finesse.
