is Ramona
Ruby Grapefruit, an
Italian wine spritz with a New
York attitude.

 RAMONA
is the brainchild of the super talented
Jordan Salcito (pictured),
a veteran sommelier and Director of Wine
Special Projects for David Chang’s
Momofuku Group. The group's selection
has been awarded “Most Original Wine
List in the World” by World of Fine Wine,
so you’re in safe and rather
cutting-edge hands. She is obsessed with
the spritzes of the 80s and has grown
frustrated with the stuffy nonsense that
sometimes surrounds fine wine. This
drove her to create RAMONA,
which is the perfect blend of nostalgia,
innovation and Riviera fun, all while
keeping in step with her wine roots.
Named after her sister’s mischievous
childhood alter ego (she was a fan of
Beverly Cleary, a popular children's
book writer), Ramona was born from her
thirst for a portable, high-integrity
spritz. Ramona is all organic and
certified, all natural, vegan and
gluten-free, packaged in an
environmentally-friendly BPA-free
recyclable aluminium can.
Jordan’s initial test batch of RAMONA in
late 2016 sold out in the blink of an
eye. It has since become a runaway hit
in the New York City dining scene and
invaded the rest of the USA to similar
success. Ramona is now all the rage at
the trendiest restaurants, bars and
clubs stateside. Trendsetting
superstars Rihanna, Alicia Keys and
Kanye West have all been spotted
sipping on Ramona.
Ramona’s innovation wasn’t all about
glitz and Instagram likes (although they
helped): Jordan Salcito was a
semi-finalist for the prestigious James
Beard award for “Outstanding
Wine Professional – Ramona” in
2018 in recognition of her
groundbreaking high-quality beverage

wine spritz with a New York attitude:

For those seeking something between a
cold beer and a glass of wine, Ramona is
the perfect summer drink, with its
slightly effervescent, zesty citrusy
flavour. It’s Sicilian dry white wine
made from organic Muscat-like zibibbo
grapes, which is blended with natural
ruby grapefruit flavours. The taste is
light and refreshing, with an
interesting bitter citrus edge from the
grapefruit to round out the slight
sweetness. All this goodness at a modest
7% alcohol.
With no requirement for fancy glassware,
a bottle opener of any kind, or even a
special occasion, Ramona is the perfect
refresher for picnics, cook-outs,
parties, barbecues, boats, beachsides,
poolsides and everything social. Ramona
is 100% tropics friendly.
