Rosé
Champagnes
|
Make your
year-end festivities livelier, prettier &
more delectable
|
|
Champagne makes any occasion more special. It
is a welcome beverage any day of the year and in
festivities, nothing is as emblematic of the spirit of the
celebration as a sparkling glass of Champagne.
Rosé Champagne is even more special, because the region
produces so little of it, and also because they express a
different, often a more voluptuous and complex expression of
Champagne. Besides, they are a beautiful sight to behold.
We have selected a few rosé Champagne cuvées for your
enjoyment this festive season, all available in-stock. Offer
prices herein are valid until 31 December 2018. Orders will
be processed subject to remaining availability and final
written confirmation. Full payment is required after
confirmation invoice is sent in order to confirm the
purchase. No reservation is allowed and no further discount.
All terms and conditions apply.
If you wish to drop by our showroom to collect your
purchase, please email or call us ahead at +65 6838 0373 to
ascertain in-store availability. Please note we are closed
on weekends and on 24 & 25 December.
Happy shopping and happy holidays!

Jean-Marc Sélèque “Solessence Rosé” Brut
|
S$ 75 / 750 ml
|
Base
2014, a blend from 7 different villages. Pinot
Meunier macerated over two days and Pinot Noir red
wine, blended into the Solessence cuvée plus 40%
reserve wine. Only 600 cases produced.
|
“This smells of pink grapefruit and
pomegranate with bright, chalky minerals. The palate
is very opulent, super vinous with mouth-filling,
light strawberry and watermelon. Mineral finish.
This is made using the Solessence blend, to which is
added ten per cent pinot-meunier juice after two
days of maceration and five per cent red pinot noir.
Each of these components is actually made and
released as a wine in their own right.” 94
points, John Gilman

H. Billiot Fils Brut Rosé Grand Cru
|
S$ 73 / 750 ml for 3-bottles or more
S$ 79 / 750 ml
S$ 168 / 1,500 ml **
magnum **
|
A
blend of 4-8% red wine (Bouzy Rouge), vinified in
wood for one year. 100% grand cru made from only the
first pressing.
|
“Packed with fruit, this is flowery
and inviting, its flavors of strawberry, melon and
pink grapefruit feeling ample in fragrance yet
focused and enlivened by brisk acidity. It’s finely
textured and harmoniously balanced, and like
Billiot’s Brut Réserve based on the same harvest,
it’s the best version of this cuvée that the estate
has released in a long time.” Peter Liem

Marie-Courtin “Allégeance” Extra Brut Rosé
2013
|
S$ 130 / 750 ml
|
100%
Pinot Noir from massale selection on special
low-vigour rootstock. Maceration rosé, no blending
of red wine juice. Extra-long élevage, fermented and
aged in tank, no added sulphur, zero dosage
|
“. . the Allégeance is a sans
soufre rosé that’s macerated for only about 30
hours, giving it a pale, elegant color . . broad and
expansive, it’s marked by nutty, walnut-like notes
of oxidation under the notes of watermelon, citrus
peel and rose petal, and your acceptance of this
will depend on your tolerance of Natural Wine.” Peter

Georges Laval Cumières 1er Cru Rosé Brut
Nature
|
S$ 150 / 750 ml
|
50%
Pinot Noir, 50% Pinot Meunier. Pressed whole-cluster
with skin contact. Zero dosage.
|
“Bright orange. Vibrant aromas of
fresh red berries and citrus fruits are complemented
by suggestions of white flowers, anise and chalky
minerals. Fleshy and broad but decidedly dry,
offering crackling blood orange and bitter quince
flavors that stretch out and deepen with air. Clings
with excellent focus and tenacity on the strikingly
persistent finish, which leaves notes of orange pith
and iodine behind.” 92 points, Josh

Champagne
Etienne Calsac “Rose de Craie” Brut Rosé
1er Cru
|
S$ 85 / 750 ml
|
Base
2015. 88% Chardonnay, 12% Pinot Noir. Average vine
age: 30 years. 15% elevage in barrel. Dosage 5 gr/l.
|
The name ‘Rosé de Craie’ translates
to ‘rosé of chalk’. The nose is aromatic with
breadcrumb, cherry pip and red fruit surrounded by
some cherry kernel. Full malolactic fermentation on
this wine lends a softer palate and a well-balanced
fruit-to-acid-and-tannin ratio. There is strength
and precision in this wine and the palate is vibrant
showcasing the velvet line of the bubbles. This is
definitely more towards savoury in style rather than
simply fruit-driven. A wonderful example of modern
rosé champagne.
